Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how 2030 Cropsey Ave Lease Holder LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our“), the owner and operator of The Shoreline, a residential rental building located at 2230 Cropsey Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11214 (the “Property“), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit theshorelinebk.com (the “Site“), contact our leasing office, or otherwise interact with us in connection with the Property. Our property management and leasing partners, including Plaza Management and EXR (our leasing agent), may process information on our behalf as described below.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Inquiry and tour requests. When you submit our contact form, request a tour, or call or text the leasing office, we collect your name, email address, phone number, desired apartment layout, anticipated move-in date, and any message or other information you choose to provide.
- Communications. If you email, call, or text us, we keep a record of that communication and any information you share in it.
- Rental applications and residency. If you apply to lease an apartment at the Property, the application process is conducted through a separate application and screening platform and is governed by the disclosures provided to you at that time, including any notices required under New York State and New York City law. Information collected during the application process and during your residency (including through any resident portal) is not covered by this Privacy Policy except where it is submitted through the Site.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our third-party partners automatically collect certain information from your browser or device, including:
- IP address, approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language settings;
- the pages you view, the links you click, the time and duration of your visit, the website that referred you to the Site, and the search terms you used to find us;
- mouse movements, scrolling, clicks, keystrokes in non-sensitive fields, and other interaction data, which may be captured as session recordings or heat maps by analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity;
- cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, hashed email addresses, and similar identifiers that are read or set by the technologies described in Section 3.
Information from third parties
We work with third-party visitor identification, identity resolution, and data enrichment services. These services may attempt to match your device, browser, or online activity to contact or demographic information (such as a name, mailing address, email address, phone number, or household information) held by data brokers, publishers, or marketing partners, and may provide that information to us so that we can follow up with you about the Property. We may also receive information about you from advertising platforms, listing services, referral partners, and publicly available sources.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries, schedule tours, and communicate with you about availability, pricing, incentives, and the leasing process;
- send you marketing communications about the Property by email, phone, text message, or mail, subject to your choices described in Section 6;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, and understand how visitors use it;
- measure the performance of our advertising and deliver advertisements for the Property to you on other websites, apps, and platforms;
- identify prospective residents who have shown interest in the Property and follow up with them;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
3. Cookies, Pixels, and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies, web beacons (pixels), tags, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies operated by us and by third parties. As of the effective date above, the Site loads technologies from the following categories of providers. The specific providers may change from time to time.
- Tag management and analytics: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google LLC), which collect usage statistics and may be used for advertising measurement and audience building.
- Session replay and behavioral analytics: Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which records how visitors interact with pages, including mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, and generates heat maps and session recordings.
- Advertising and conversion tracking pixels: Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.), TikTok Pixel (TikTok Inc.), and advertising measurement tools provided by OpenAI. These technologies allow the platforms to recognize you across websites, measure whether you took an action after seeing an advertisement, and show you advertisements for the Property. The platforms may combine this data with other information they hold about you under their own privacy policies.
- Identity resolution, visitor identification, and audience data partners: services such as LiveIntent and other third-party visitor-identification and data-enrichment providers that may link your device or browser to contact information or audience segments, as described in Section 1.
- Essential and functional technologies: cookies and scripts required for the Site to function, for security (including Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form, which is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service), and for the embedded content described in Section 8.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including by blocking or deleting cookies, though some features of the Site may not work properly if you do. You may also use the opt-out tools offered by individual providers, including Google (Google Analytics opt-out and Ads Settings), Meta (Ad Preferences), TikTok (in-app ad settings), Microsoft (Ad Settings), and industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative. The Site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
4. How We Share Information
We share information in the following circumstances:
- Property management and leasing partners. With Plaza Management, EXR, and other companies that manage, market, or lease the Property on our behalf, and with their personnel, so they can respond to your inquiries and manage the leasing process.
- Service providers. With vendors that provide services to us, such as website hosting (WP Engine), form processing, customer relationship management, email and text messaging platforms, application and screening platforms, and analytics.
- Advertising, analytics, and data partners. With the providers described in Section 3. Information shared with advertising platforms and identity-resolution partners may be used by those parties for their own purposes, including to build audience profiles and serve advertising for other advertisers. Depending on your state of residence, this sharing may be considered a “sale” of personal information or “sharing” for targeted advertising under applicable law. You may opt out as described in Section 6.
- Affiliates and successors. With our affiliates, and with a buyer, lender, investor, or successor in connection with a sale, financing, merger, or other transfer of the Property or our business, or in connection with due diligence for such a transaction.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order; to respond to requests from government authorities; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our residents, our personnel, or others.
- With your direction. When you ask us to share information or otherwise consent to sharing.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes except as described in this Section 4.
5. Text Messaging (SMS) Program
If you provide your mobile phone number through the Site, by phone, or in person, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us and our leasing partners at that number regarding your inquiry, tour scheduling, availability, pricing, promotions, and the leasing process. Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded or artificial voice. Consent is not a condition of leasing an apartment. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can get help by replying HELP or contacting us at the address in Section 11. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile phone numbers and opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing emails. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. We may still send you non-marketing messages related to a pending inquiry, application, or lease.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any text message, as described in Section 5.
- Cookies and advertising. Use the browser controls and provider opt-out tools described in Section 3.
- Opt out of targeted advertising, “sale,” or “sharing.” To ask us to stop sharing your personal information with advertising and identity-resolution partners for targeted advertising, email us at info@theshorelinebk.com with the subject line “Privacy Opt-Out.” Because much of this data is collected directly by third-party technologies on your browser, you should also use the browser and provider controls in Section 3.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may request that we confirm whether we hold personal information about you, provide a copy of it, correct inaccurate information, or delete it, subject to legal exceptions (for example, information we must retain for fair housing, tax, or recordkeeping purposes, or in connection with a lease). To make a request, contact us at the address in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
- State privacy rights. Residents of certain states have additional rights under their state’s privacy laws, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights and the right to appeal a denied request. If you believe we have not responded appropriately to a request, you may contact us to appeal, and you may have the right to contact your state’s attorney general.
7. Data Retention
We retain inquiry and contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and market the Property to you, and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, fair housing compliance, and legal purposes. Information connected to a rental application or lease is retained in accordance with applicable law and our record retention practices. Analytics and advertising data is retained by the respective providers under their own policies.
8. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site contains links to and embedded content from third-party services, including the resident portal, Instagram, Google Maps, virtual tour and 360-degree viewing tools, and our downloadable brochure. These third parties may collect information about you through their own cookies and technologies when you interact with the embedded content or follow a link. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
9. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, consistent with the New York Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security (SHIELD) Act and other applicable laws. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults who are seeking housing. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Equal Housing Opportunity
We are committed to equal housing opportunity and comply with the federal Fair Housing Act, the New York State Human Rights Law, and the New York City Human Rights Law. We do not use information collected through the Site to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, lawful source of income, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
